Umtali Beach House

This beach house offers spacious open living and has the unique feature of selecting whether you require 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms which are all separately keyed, each bedroom will sleep 2 guests, additional costs will apply if extra rooms are requested. The main bedroom has internal access to the main living area of the house, whilst the other 2 bedrooms are accessed from the rear verandah. The bedrooms all feature king size beds which can be set up as singles if you prefer. Tastefully decorated with quality fittings to ensure you have a memorable stay. The house is located on the banks of the Little Forester River and enjoys direct walking access to Adams Beach or "Lades" as it is known by the locals. Outdoor deck and BBQ area

  Just a few minutes out of Bridport this totally private beach house sits surrounded by the most idyllic scenery.
  The house while not modern has been well maintained with an open living area which is very comfortable allowing you to relax in nature with all the mod cons you require.
  The bedrooms and bathrooms are very adequate.
  Books covering the history of the area, books for reading and games is a nice addition while looking out from the glorious large plate glass window.

  Overall a very pleasant comfortable stay. Lovely views interesting surrounds.
  However if aiming for next level accommodation consideration needed for the following:
  absence of Bush Fire Plan; 5 day stay 1 towel each for 6 people not adequate; no shampoo; chipped crockery particularly mugs not acceptable; TV reception needs attention; cigarette butt litter on deck.

  We stayed in this lovely property only 5-10 minutes outside of Bridport but seemed like you were in the middle of a private retreat. Being so close to a river beach was very nice and made for a relaxing walk. Extremely quiet for those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of a busy town but close enough to get a take away or pub meal and dart back to serenity.

  Umtali was one of the most beautiful, private, and peaceful places we have stayed in . This feeling is felt as soon as you arrive . The home has everything you need bring your food and you would never have to leave for your whole stay ..We took advantage of the water every day as we took Kayaks and now know every stretch of that water stopping at little beaches on the way ...Access to your own private beach was amazing sitting watching the sun rise or go down ...We lost our Son in December 2022 and staying at Umtali with what it offered was just what we needed ..
  A cover over the front deck would top it off as some days it was too hot to sit out there Or maybe an outdoor setting with a large Umbrella...But yes 100% thumbs up from us thank you ..... Trudy and Robin

  Umtali Beach house is a spacious, well appointed and modern paradise. You feel like the only people on earth, and the views across the estuary are idyllic. It's just a short drive to Bridport. We were lucky to see a few wombats scuttling about at dusk. Would definitely recommend it for a few days

  Such a beautiful location with that amazing picture window and the house was comfortable and tidy and had everything we needed (except not enough toilet paper!). The location out of town was fantastic, especially the many black cockatoos which kept us company, there were some trail bike hoons on the Sat afternoon but fortunately not for the rest of our stay. The only suggestion would be to put a mattress topper on the bed as it was very firm. Would definitely recommend this to friends as a great place to base yourself in the north east to enjoy the wineries and coastal walks.

  Great place for a secluded break. Still close to Bridport & easy access to other towns along the coast. Full kitchen amenities, very clean. Bathrooms excellent. Was a very warm & cosy cottage.
